Dr. Vishnu Saseendran is a researcher at the National Institute of Aerospace in Hampton, USA. Previously, he served as an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. He received his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Denmark in 2018, where his research focused on developing fracture mechanics-based methods to analyze damage in bi-material interfaces. Dr. Saseendran also holds dual Master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology (Netherlands) and Wind Energy from the Technical University of Denmark, both awarded in 2014. His research interests include micromechanics-based modeling, bi-material fracture mechanics, material characterization in microgravity environment, and the application of deep learning in materials science.
