Davis Adams is a navigation engineer in the Aeroscience and Flight Mechanics division at NASA Johnson Space Center. Davis earned his PhD at Texas A&M University in the Department of Aerospace Engineering. His interests are in the fields of machine vision based navigation, optimal control, and emulation robotics and their applicability to autonomous space flight. He has extensive experience with algorithmic development and hardware-in-the-loop testing of novel sensing platforms for various spacecraft relative navigation applications and is currently the principal investigator of the Simulation, Emulation, Navigation, Sensors and STAR (SENSS) Lab at NASA JSC.
