Associate Professor, University of Louisville, KY

Dr. Hui Wang is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at University of Louisville, Kentucky. She received her PhD degree in Materials Science Engineering from Michigan Technological University and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Her research interests include advanced materials for energy conversion and storage, such as lithium/sodium ion conductors and solid-state batteries. Recently, her group worked on synthesis and interface studies for rechargeable alkaline metal batteries. Dr. Wang is the recipient of the 2021 NSF Career Award and the 2020 NSF EPSCoR Research Fellowship, and was also recognized as an Emerging Researcher in 2022 and an ascending star researcher in 2025.
