Dr. Michael Douglas, DAT, LAT, ATC is an experienced scholar-practitioner with over 25 years of service in sports medicine, athletic training, and higher education. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Kinesiology, Sports Studies, and Physical Education at Morehouse College and Program Manager for the Online MPH Program at Morehouse School of Medicine. Dr. Douglas's teaching portfolio includes biomechanics, kinesiology, human anatomy, and injury prevention. His research explores AI-driven musculoskeletal modeling, wearable technologies, and data-informed strategies to enhance human performance—often in collaboration with organizations such as NASA and the VA. He is a committed academic advisor, an active member of college governance committees, and a frequent presenter at national conferences. Dr. Douglas also serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Kinesiology in Higher Education, contributing to the advancement of scholarship in applied health sciences and interdisciplinary sports research.
