Joel Robinson has ten years of experience in industry and an additional 20+ years of NASA research in space propulsion. He holds a BS degree in Aerospace and an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Mississippi State University. His technical support has varied from chemical to electrical propulsion in sizes from micronewtons to 650,000 pounds of thrust. For the past 6 years, he has supported multiple projects as a Mission Manager for the STMD Technology Demonstration Missions Program Office, overseeing SBIR’s to large contracts with major primes. Joel is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and has served over a decade as a Combustion Subcommittee Co-Chair for the Joint Army Navy NASA Air Force (JANNAF) Interagency Propulsion Committee. He has authored numerous technical papers for domestic and international conferences, having earned the Herman Oberth Gold Medal at the IAC Conference in 1993.
