Dr. Bruce W. Jo is an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering at Tennessee Tech University (TTU). Previously, he was an Associate Professor at Stony Brook University, State University of New York (SUNY), and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) from 2011 to 2014. His main research interests are 1) aerodynamics, 2) wind-tunnel operation, 3) the design and control of morphorous structures (4D printing), and 4) the mechanism design of manned/unmanned aerial vehicles. Since 2016, he has been working with and collaborating on various projects, including NASA, AFOSR (Air Force Office of Scientific Research), AFRL (Air Force Research Laboratory), ARL (Army Research Laboratory), and ORNL (Oak Ridge National Laboratory). He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, New York, in 2010, his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from New York University, New York, in 2006, and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2003.
