Navigation Engineer, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center

Evan Anzalone has been a Navigation Engineer at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center supporting the Guidance, Navigation, and Mission Analysis Branch since 2010. He received a B.S. in Physics from Louisiana State University in 2006, as well as a Master of Science in 2008 and PhD in Aerospace Engineering in 2013 from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His thesis, “Agent and model-based simulation framework for deep space navigation analysis and design”, focused on Model-based Systems Engineering applications to Navigation Systems design, modeling, and assessment. He was the PI for the Lunar Node-1 Navigation Beacon Payload that operated from the moon via Intuitive Machine’s NOVA-C Odysseus lander. He has supported navigation design, development, and analysis across a range of programs, including the Space Launch System, Mars Ascent Vehicle, Lunar Pallet Lander, Human Landing System, as well as small technology developments, with a current focus on lunar navigation. He is currently supporting Moon2Mars Systems Engineering and Integration as Navigation Lead.
