Karl Edquist has worked at NASA Langley Research Center since 2000, where he has contributed to numerous planetary science missions and technology development projects, including: Aerothermal Lead for the Mars Science Laboratory and Mars 2020 missions, Aerodynamics Lead for the Mars Phoenix mission, and Principal Investigator for the STMD Descent Systems Studies project. Currently, he is Deputy Lead for Entry, Descent, and Landing (EDL) for the APL/NASA Dragonfly mission to Titan. He also is the Acting Portfolio Formulation Manager for Deceleration Systems under the STMD LAND Domain.
