Dr. Reza Mehrabian is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. With over 15 years of experience in research and development, his expertise spans computer architecture, cyber-physical systems (CPS), robotics, and machine learning. He has a strong foundation in runtime verification, temporal logic, embedded systems, and FPGA-based design. Dr. Mehrabian's contributions to the fields of Computer and Electrical Engineering include two U.S. patents and more than 20 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications. He currently leads the CPS Lab at SD Mines. Additionally, his role as a proposal reviewer for NASA programs such as ESTO, MIRO, and MUREP reflects his deep understanding of the technical and strategic priorities of space exploration and mission-critical systems.
